Well, I've been asked to talk about how to study English. Well, I'm not sure I'm the best one to talk about this topic since I am just a learner myself, but I will try to give some suggestions based on my own experience.

I advise you first to know what your goals are and your budget. I mean, if its just conversational English you want to learn, then concentrate on getting communication-style resources. Some my be quite cheap-for example, listening to CRI or English television is free of charge, while other options are more expensive-for example, taking an intensive course at a language school. My own opinion is that you should probably study English in the morning or in the early evening. In other words, try to study it when you first get up because you'll feel more alert at that time. Trying to study English in the afternoon is like trying to drink a beer in the morning. Somehow it just doesn't seem to fit.

When you do get what resources you need, I advise you to begin with a good sound base in English. One regret I have in learning English is that I never developed this sound base. I developed a visual base first, and then later had to develop my listening and pronunciation. I would work primarily on listening at first. I wouldn't force you to speak too early because the experience will be too frustrating, as I found out. Once you do build up your listening, start talking and writing, and then finally do a lot of reading, which will help your English a lot at the latter stages.

I think it's important to remember that we don't learn language in any linear way. 寒假过去了，新的一年开始了。在这个春暖花开的季节，我迎来了大学里的第四个学期。

大二下学期对于我来说是至关重要的一年，我希望自己能取得一下成绩：学习成绩进入专业前十；通过计算机二级考试；自学英语，争取在大三通过雅思考试。

另外，由于上学期课程较紧，我辞去了社团部的工作，因而这学期的课余时间相对较充裕，现在正和同学一起参加社会调查大赛，再把这次比赛完成之后我计划开始尝试带领团队参加一些大学生比赛，以提高自己各方面的能力。除此之外我会利用剩余的时间参加一些学校组织的活动和社会兼职。

再者，我会在这学期继续积极向党组织靠拢，提高自己的思想觉悟，加强自身素质，希望能在这个学期成为预备党员，更好的为大家服务。

新学期新气象，我要以崭新的面貌迎接新的学期，提高自己，完善自己，为自己的人生增光添彩。

They may think that it is better to continue in a particular job, or to do something completely different from a university overall, I think this is less likely today, when academic qualifications are essential for getting a reasonable career.

My view is that young people should be encouraged to broaden their horizons. That is the best way for them to get a clear perspective of what they are hoping to do with their lives and why. Students with such a perspective are usually the most effective and motivated ones and taking a year off may be the best way to gain this.

As a result of constant media attention, sports professionals in my country have become stars and celebrities, and those at the top are paid huge salaries. Just like movie stars, they live extravagant lifestyles with huge houses and cars.

Many people find their rewards unfair, especially when comparing these super salaries with those of top surgeons or research scientists, or even leading politicians who have the responsibility of governing the country. However, sports salaries are not determined by considering the contribution to society a person makes,or the level of responsibility he or she holds. Instead, they reflect the public popularity of sport in general and the level of public support that successful stars can generate. So the notion of ‘fairness’ is not the issue.

Those who feel that sports stars’ salaries are justified might argue that the number of professionals with real talent is very few, and the money is a recognition of the skills and dedication a person needs to be successful. Competition is constant and a player is tested every time they perform in their relatively short pressure from the media is intense and there is little privacy out of the spotlight. So all of these factors may justify the huge earnings.

Personally, I think that the amount of money such sports stars make is more justified than the huge earnings of movie stars, but at the same time, it indicates that our society places more value on sport than on more essential professions and achievements.

Also, compare to the digital cameras which are usually quite bulky, smartphones on the other hand are very portable. And all the functions work automatically which means even if you don’t know anything about photography, there is still good chances to craft nice phones.

Talking about the disadvantages, the only thing I can think of would be that people may not treasure pictures as memories that much as before.

A snap shot serves to crystallize the important moment in your life and that moment lasts for the length of a breath. People are unprepared to be filmed and their emotions are open to interpretation afterwards.

But using smartphones, people tend to take several at the same time with the same pose, and to filter out the best one. I think it lose the real meaning of recording the true life to some extent.

2. What is the benefit of learning painting for children?

第一：写

要练习写雅思真题。雅思真题可以练剑桥雅思系列的。只有练了雅思真题才能对于雅思的出题思路和题目构成有清晰完整的了解。在练习的时候要注意应该在规定时间内完成。只有在有时间限制的压力下写作，考生才能在考试的时候发挥自如。在练习写作的时候也不一定非得要写完整的文章，有时候可以进行段落论证的写作。比如，专门花时间练一练开头段或结尾段的写作。有时把文章分解了写可以更能磨练写作技巧。有时候也可以专门练习某种论证手法的写作，甚至对于常用的句型可以进行造句练习。在练习频率上，基本应该保持两天写一篇以上。

第二：读

如果只是一味埋头苦练的话，那只能提高写作速度而在写作水平上不一定会有长足的进步。只有看了好的文章，考生才会知道应该往哪方面努力以及自己的文章到底有什么不足。最重要的是要看考官写的例文，比如剑桥大学出的CambridgeIELTS2以及CambridgeIELTS3等。看的时候不要只看懂就行，而要着眼于三个方面：考官范文是如何提出观点并进行论证的，运用了哪些论证手法;范文是怎么安排段落的，段落之间以及句子之间是怎么连接在一起的，运用了哪些衔接手段;范文里有什么精彩的词、词组和句型是值得我们模仿的。如果考生能够举一反三，仔细思考并且适当借鉴的话，那么看一篇就会有一篇的受益。除了考官范文以外，其它的一些优秀范文也可以参考。各种精彩段落，包括雅思阅读文章里面的一些论证方法和有用表达也可以成为学习的对象。

第三：改

有时候考生越看范文会越觉得郁闷甚至沮丧，因为发现自己的低水平文章和高分作文之间似乎存在着不可逾越的巨大鸿沟。要想跨越这条鸿沟，弥补其中的差距，关键在多修改。考生应该自己先在规定时间内完成作文，然后对照范文，看看自己作文中存在的问题。有没有审题错误?结构是否混乱?有没有表达不清的地方?然后仔细琢磨一下，范文是怎么展开论证的?看数遍范文以后可以试着根据刚才学习范文的体会和收获来修改自己原先写过的文章，把论证不够充分的地方重新论证一下，关联不当的地方修补一下，错误表达改正过来。当然，如果能够有老师的指导，效果会更好。这样，练一篇，看一篇，改一遍。写一次就会有一次的收获。
